This book honors and illustrates the beauty of the tradition of flowers for the deceased through 15 images.

 

A cemetery remains above all a story of mourning, parting and grief. The bright colors and beautiful symbolism of the flowers make this environment just a little less somber. 

 

I made the cover of the book out of clay to convey the feeling of a tombstone in the strongest way possible. The typography on the gravestones also inspired me to use capitals, use similar typefaces and the text is aligned like you would find it on a tombstone.
